Thomas Rhett was born on March 30, 1990 in Valdosta, Georgia.
On October 12, 2012 Thomas married his wife Lauren Akins. In 2016, Lauren joined an organization 147 million orphans on a trip to Uganda where she met a baby girl. During this time the couple were trying to have a baby but couldn’t and he suggested adopting that baby girl. When the adoption process was happening the two discovered that Lauren was expecting. They adopting their daughter Willa Gray in May 2017 and following that they had their daughter Ada James who was born on August 12, 2017.
Thomas Rhett signed his record deal only at the age of 21. Though music has always been important to Thomas in a 2011 interview he shared, “It is completely a God thing that I am here today, because for the first 17 years of my life, I never thought I would ever do music professionally”.
He was nominated for country vocalist of the year in 2017 and again in 2018 but has yet to pull off a win. His song Die a Happy Man earned its first award as it was named song of the year as well as it was his first country music association award for Song of the Year, for this song he was also nominated for a grammy. Life Changes was nominated for Album of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards and as well nominated for a grammy.
