Break Through is one of my personal favorites and it is one of the greatest movies I have ever seen. It is based on the incredible true story of a mother’s love in the most impossible of odds. When Joyce Smith’s son John falls through an icy lake in Missouri all hope was lost. But as John lies lifeless, Joyce refuses to give up. Her hope and belief inspires those around her to continue to pray for John’s condition, even in the face of every single scientific outcome.
